Behavioral Support Services

For individuals who have undesirable behaviors coupled with their developmental disability, we will offer Behavioral Support Services.
-
Our program works with a team of mental health professionals including Licensed Psychologists and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who specialize in organizing plans to address physical aggression, verbal aggression, inappropriate sexual behaviors, property destruction, elopement, PICA, and general non-compliance or socially offensive behaviors.
-
The team meets routinely to establish reward systems that will promote positive behaviors whether the person is at home, school, work, or in the community.
Individual Skills & Socialization ("ISS," formerly Day Hab)
-
ISS is a service that allows individuals to gain new skills or further enhance existing ones.
-
It exposes people to a routine that includes recreational activities, community integration, sports events, and social inclusion, all in a structured environment.
-
Many individuals enjoy bowling, checking out books at the library, catching their favorite movie at a matinee, or participating in monthly dances.
-
Others take advantage of learning about money management such as coin recognition, computer skills including resume building, fire safety, handwriting skills and personal identification where they learn their address and phone number.
